Africa Seven’s mighty A7 Edits label return for 2022 in style. Their sought-after official edit series takes in three more obscure Afro-disco gems from Africa Seven’s extensive vaults, reworking them for the modern dance floor.
For their 5th release, Monologues Records and Sterns Edits head Ben Gomori kicks things off, working his magic on Oby Onyioha’s Nigerian disco boogie bomb ‘Enjoy Your Life’ giving it a heavyweight club makeover.
Next up, Isle of Jura bossman, Kevin Griffiths aka Jura Soundsystem gives the Togolese tastiness of Afia Mala – ‘Koma’ some Balearic dub loving.
Last stop on the journey, D Tourn, gives Eko’s Cameroon slice of sunshine, ‘Bowa Nga Ngebe’ from the 1979 Funky Disco Music album, a delectable dance floor edit.
