Unidisc Classics and 40th Anniversary Releases

Unidisc is a Canadian disco, boogie, funk, soul, and dance music record label, founded in 1977 by Montreal DJ George Cucuzzella. Over the years the label has acquired recording and publishing rights for many other dance music catalogues and the Unidisc back catalogue is astonishingly good.

In 2021 the label launched ‘Unidisc 40’ – a series of releases issued to celebrate Unidisc’s 40th anniversary, which includes new remixes of classics from the label’s catalogue by some of the hottest producers in the business.

A good few years ago a wedge of back catalogue Unidisc records were found and made their way into the best record shops around the world. They were quickly snapped up by DJs and record collectors alike, myself included.
