Italian reissue of classic George Benson tracks. On the A side we get the much sampled and probably George’s best known track Give Me The Night. Everybody from Moodymann (January) and Austin Auto to Jazzy Jeff and Heavy D & the Boyz have used this in their productions. It’s a guaranteed floor filler.
The 2nd track Breezin’ from 1976 is more of a head nodder and as such has been much sampled in hip hop. Laidback vibes all the way.
The World Is A Ghetto on the B side is our main tip on this release. This cover of the track originally written by War is taken from George’s In Flight LP that was released in 1977. Clocking in at over 9 minutes long, it is a great version and is somewhat of a sought after jazz funk classic.
