Brooklyn South return with the 3rd in their series of unofficial releases where the artist name and track duration are not mentioned on release. As it is an unofficial release this 12″ has caused a little controversy (see what I did there) but fear not I have done some investigation and this is what I found…
This 12″ appears to feature the Dimitri From Stoke On Trent mix of Prince titled ‘I Wanna Be Your Lobster’. Having made comparisons of the full sound clips for this 12″ and the Dimitri From Stoke On Trent 12″ that was released on Hands Of Time Gold, it appears that they are the same track at the same length (both around 7:20 in length).
Considering the Hands Of Time Gold 12″ has fetched up to £86 n the Cogs, is pretty scarce, and will never be repressed, picking up the Brooklyn South version could very well be a good call if you don’t have the Hands Of Time Gold 12″.
One the B Side what we actually have is the LNTG edit of Prince titled ‘Do I Believe in God (LNTG Muscle Mix)’ which was released on RNT002 on Razor-N-Tape.
